Grandview Music Boosters
The Grandview Music Booster Club was organized in 2006 by some concerned parents and music teachers within the Grandview School District. Each of them had a desire to see the music programs within our schools improve and grow. Each of them wanted to see students become passionate about music.
The Grandview Music Booster Club is open to parents, students and other community members. The club does several fundraising projects throughout the year (car washes, concession sales, Battle of the Bands, Halloween Haunted House, dinners for various events, and other money-making projects) which help purchase graduation cords for qualifying graduating seniors, trophies and other awards, dry-cleaning of uniforms, etc. The group provides snacks or meals for groups that are performing. They recognize graduating seniors at Homecoming.
The booster club is a primary sponsor of the Lower Valley Band Camp which is celebrating its eighth year in August of 2011. The club helps with food, snacks, lodging for guest college band leaders, and adult supervision throughout the event.
The Grandview Music Booster Club wants to encourage anyone and everyone who loves music to come and be a part! One of the next goals is to get new band uniforms for the Grandview High School marching band. The uniforms they use now are more than thirty years old and are in terrible condition. They have lived a good life, but, it is time to make our students shine when they represent Grandview at sporting events and parades!!!!!
The group meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm at the Grandview Middle School – either in the portable (room 503) in back, or in the music room, also in the back of the school.
